The Town of Leland has been awarded funding through the North Carolina Resilient Coastal Communities Program (RCCP) to survey and design a grading plan to improve the frequent flooding of Mallory Creek Drive.

A project to develop a roadside multi-use path along the north side of Old Fayetteville Road from Town Hall Drive to North Brunswick High School. Project also includes the repaving of Old Fayetteville Road. Work will require brief lane closures with flagging for duration.
A project to extend Olde Waterford Way from Palm Ridge Drive to Olde Regent Way. This road extension will alleviate traffic congestion along existing Olde Waterford Way and better serve the developing areas within Waterford.

Future Project
A project to extend Founders Drive in the proposed Settler's Village development to Woodland Drive. The scope of the project includes constructing the roadway connection, stormwater infrastructure, five-foot sidewalk on both sides of the roadway, and installation of pavement markings and signage.
The project will combine multiple areas throughout the Town of Leland that are missing sidewalks or multi-use paths to improve connectivity. Improvements include installing new sidewalks, ADA compliant curb ramps and pedestrian warning mats, planter strips, and pavement markings for crosswalks, as
