The Leland Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department hosts markets throughout the year featuring unique, handmade creations from incredible local craftsmen and artists.

In Bloom Festival

May 16 | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Founders Park
In Bloom is the latest addition to the Town of Leland’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department. Taking place in the newly renovated Founders Park, this event is meant to celebrate the arts, plants, and people of the Southeastern North Carolina region. Alongside artists and vendors, this event will include diverse native plant educators, performing artists, live music, dance lessons, and delicious food vendors.

Vendor registration is only available through credible links on Town of Leland websites and social media posts. Anyone claiming on social media to be able to register you as a vendor should be reported as spam/scam.

The Leland Cultural Arts Center gallery hosts exhibitions that rotate monthly including two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork. Local artists are encouraged to apply for both solo and group shows. The LCAC also organizes an annual Instructor Showcase, Youth Art Month exhibit, and LCAC Student Show in the gallery space. 

The 2027 Gallery Exhibition Applications will be available Aug. 25-Sept. 19, 2026.

The Leland Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department welcomes professional, creative people who have experience teaching and a passion for arts, recreation, and anything in between. The department accepts proposals for classes and workshops for all ages twice a year. During those times, the application will be available on this webpage.

  • Applications received after February will not be considered for the upcoming Fall/Winter CAPE.
  • Applications received after August will not be considered for the upcoming Spring/Summer CAPE.
    • Applications submitted after those deadlines may be considered for the following CAPE.
