Creek Week is a statewide initiative that raises awareness about local waterways and empowers residents to take action in their communities. This year, the Town will host Creek Week programs March 17-22, offering a variety of activities leading up to Lend a Hand in Leland. Participants who register for any activity will be entered into a raffle to win a rain barrel! Learn more and register below.

Location: Leland Cultural Arts Center
Attend the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher's Wild Wetlands presentation.
Tuesday, March 18, 6-7:30 p.m.
Learn about North Carolina's freshwater wetlands and the unique plants and animals that thrive there. This presentation is free and open to all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Join Cape Fear River Watch for Storm Drain Marking.
Wednesday, March 19, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Participants will permanently attach stainless steel markings to storm drains and distribute door hangers that emphasize the importance of keeping our stormwater free from pollution. Participants must be at least 8 years old, and those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Make a difference with Lend a Hand in Leland, a community-wide day of service. All ages are welcome, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
