Art Around Town is a family-friendly town-wide event where the public can participate in crafts, drawing, painting, and fitness activities. Each day will feature a different instructor! These activities are drop-in and FREE to the public. Click the 2025 dates below to find out more information.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING WITH LOURDES
Join local artist Lourdes Rasdall for a watercolor painting session on March 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, located at 1212 Magnolia Village Way. Drop in at any time during the event to receive lessons on painting wildlife, landscapes, and more.
FLOWER FUN WITH ERIN
Join us on April 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brunswick Beer and Cider, located at 1313 S Dickinson Dr, Leland, NC 28451 to paint mini-flower pots and learn how to make wildflower seed bombs! During this event, you'll also discover the benefits of planting native plants and how they can beautify your garden.
RINGS AND THINGS
On May 8 from 5 to 8 p.m., join us at Mimi and Papa's Gourmet Popcorn and Sweet Shop, located at 324 Village Rd NE D, Leland for a fun night of jewelry-making! Local artist Jameka Purdie will provide instruction on creating wire-wrapped jewelry, including rings, bracelets, and more.
PILATES AND PAINTING IN THE PARK
Join painter and Pilates instructor Pam O'Deen on May 13 from 6 to 8 p.m, for a fun-filled event that combines movement and creativity! We will begin with a 1-hour mat Pilates class, followed by an hour of painting at Westgate Nature Park, located at 1260 W Gate Dr, Leland, NC 28451. Please bring your own yoga mat for the Pilates portion of the event.
TIE DYE EXTRAVAGANZA
Join the Leland PRCR staff for a fun-filled day of tie-dye creativity on June 7 from 12 to 3 p.m. at Brunswick Beer and Cider, located at 1313 S Dickinson Dr, Leland. Participants are encouraged to bring their own t-shirt or garment to dye, or they may choose from a selection of provided items. Be prepared to get a little messy and enjoy this vibrant and creative experience!
