To resurface nine streets within the Town limits to include Olde Waterford Way, a portion of Woodwind Drive, Palm Ridge Drive, Old Village Circle, Royal Palm Way, a portion of Pine Harvest Drive, Bentgreen Drive, West Gate Drive, the intersection at New Pointe Boulevard, and the commercial section of Grandiflora Drive. The scope of the project includes milling, full depth patches as needed, and asphalt overlay of those nine streets.

Project Updates
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 12, 2022. The contractor will be starting on Bentgreen Drive in Magnolia Greens and then begin on Pine Harvest Drive in Waterford directly following. Residents should expect delays and use caution when driving in the area.
Town Council approved the bid and selection of C.M. Mitchell Construction Company as the construction contractor on the project.
Due to receiving insufficient bids, the project is being re-advertised. Bids will now be received at the Town of Leland, located at 102 Town Hall Drive, Leland, NC 28451, until Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 2 p.m. local time. At that time, the bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Final plans and bid documents are complete. Project is being advertised for construction bids. Bid closing is slated for 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
Final construction drawings and bid documents are being finalized by the engineer and the project will go to advisement in May.
Preliminary design drawings have been submitted for Town review. Town will review and provide comments back to the engineer.
Geotechnical and survey crews will be out on the project starting Feb. 2 to mark the areas that will require a full depth rebuild and survey the additional streets of Royal Palm Way and Grandiflora Drive. The survey data for the additional streets will be included in the Preliminary Plans.
The Town has added Royal Palm Way and approximately 200 feet on Grandiflora Drive just past Cumbertree Court to this coming year’s resurfacing project. The engineer is working on getting additional survey and geotechnical inspection scheduled and will input the data into the Preliminary Plans.
Geotechnical inspection Phase 2 consisting of 12 cores throughout the project's limits is complete. The engineer is compiling Preliminary plans for Town staff to review.
