
A project to repair existing streets and infrastructure within the Lanvale Forest subdivision. The scope of the project includes repairs to existing asphalt, stormwater catch basins, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and replacing existing curb ramps with ADA compliant curb ramps.

Project Updates
Town staff conducted the final walk-through of the project with the engineer and H2GO. Final repairs and punch list items will be completed after the first of the year. Town staff is working with the engineer and contractor to close out the project.
Final construction work for the Lanvale Forest Street Improvements project is planned for early next week with the thermo-striping for the crosswalks and stop bars to go down on the paint outline. The Town of Leland will be installing all new street signs starting on Monday.
Resurfacing of the Lanvale Forest subdivision is complete. The contractor plans to install thermo-striping for the crosswalks and stop bars on Dec. 16 and 17.
Due to the rain today, the contractor will not be working and plans to be back out Dec. 8-10 to finish the resurfacing of the subdivision.
The contractor will be completing repairs to the two milled areas on Heart Wood Loop Road today. On Dec. 4, the contractor plans to finish the large patch area on Old Forest Drive and begin resurfacing streets as time allows. Dec. 7-9, the contractor will be out finishing the resurfacing of the subdivision.
CORRECTION: The contractor will be finishing repairs to the four larger patch areas on Lanvale Forest Drive and Glasgow Street starting today. Crews will also start on the milling and paving repairs on Heart Wood Loop Road and Old Forest Drive. The contractor will be placing notifications on homes that will be in the milling areas. Residents should check their front doors and NOT have their sprinklers or irrigation systems on/activated over the next several days. It will delay construction work if the subgrade/ground has standing water or is wet.
The contractor has four larger patch areas to complete next week. Crews will not be working on Thursday and Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Construction work to mill and pave the Lanvale Forest subdivision is expected to begin the week of Dec. 7. The contractor will begin staging and setting up advance warning signs the week after Thanksgiving. The Town requests that residents NOT have their sprinklers or irrigation systems on/activated two days prior to the milling and paving. It will delay construction work if the subgrade/ground has standing water or is wet.
Construction work to mill and patch several areas in Lanvale Forest is expected to begin the week of Nov. 9. The contractor will begin on Old Forest Drive, followed by Heart Wood Loop, Softwood Court, and then Rolling Pines Loop. Barnhill Contracting will start notifying residents who will be affected by the work beginning this Friday.
Construction work to repair the damaged sidewalks and curbs, repair existing curb ramps, and install new ADA compliant truncated domes is completed. The contractor will be locating utilities over the next several weeks and will then begin repairs to the roadway.
