Due to the heavy rain this week, striping for the Brunswick Forest Roundabout is delayed. The contractor will work when the weather clears. Striping will continue over the next week to include restriping Brunswick Forest Parkway and Low Country Boulevard. Please use caution when driving in the area.
Striping for the Brunswick Forest Roundabout is schedule to begin Monday. The roundabout will open when striping is completed. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration and will move down the road while the paint truck is rolling through. Residents should expect delays and use caution when driving in the area.
The contractor is unable to make it out this week to stripe due to a personnel shortage related to COVID. The Town will work closely with the striping contractor to schedule striping for the single-lane roundabout as soon as possible. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.
Striping is slated for Sept. 14 and 15. The contractor will be restriping Brunswick Forest Parkway and Low Country Boulevard to include center line stripes, stop bars, and crosswalks. The contractor will also be striping and installing curb markings at the roundabout. The contractor has removed the concrete median, milled, and will have the area framed up for the new stamped concrete island. With the chance of rain today, the contractor plans to pour concrete for the median island on Sept. 10. Please use caution when driving in the area, as construction vehicles will be exiting and entering.
Traffic control is laid out and ready for the contractor to begin construction activities starting on Sept. 8. The left travel lane will be closed on Brunswick Forest Parkway in both directions and the entrance to Wellness Center near the tennis courts will be closed during construction. Residents and visitors can access Low Country Boulevard by continuing straight on Brunswick Forest Parkway and accessing the second entrance to Low Country Boulevard before the railroad crossing and water tower. The pedestrian crosswalks will be open for pedestrians to cross over to the wellness center. Please use caution when driving in the area.
