The 2023 general election is Tuesday, Nov. 7. Elections are managed by the Brunswick County Board of Elections in Bolivia, which is where all inquiries should be directed.
In North Carolina, there are three ways you can vote: absentee by mail, one-stop early voting, and voting on Election Day.
New this year, voters will be asked to present a valid photo identification when voting in person. If you do not have a valid photo ID card, you may obtain one from the Brunswick County Board of Elections prior to the election through the end of the early voting period. Learn more about the photo ID requirement.
The last day to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 31. Voters who vote by mail must include a photocopy of an acceptable ID or an ID Exception Form inside the photo ID sleeve that is on the back of their ballot envelope. The ballot must be returned or postmarked by Election Day (Nov. 7) and received no later than Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. Learn more about absentee voting.
One-stop early voting runs from Thursday, Oct. 19 through Saturday, Nov. 4. Early voting this year is only taking place in the Cooperative Extension Training Room, located at 25 Referendum Drive, Building N, Bolivia. View the early voting schedule.
Voters who choose to vote on Election Day (Nov. 7) must go to their assigned polling place. The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Learn more about voting in person and find your polling place.
You can confirm your registration, get a sample ballot, and find your polling place using the state’s online database.
