The 2024 primary election is Tuesday, March 5. Elections are managed by the Brunswick County Board of Elections in Bolivia, which is where all inquiries should be directed.
In North Carolina, there are three ways you can vote: absentee by mail, one-stop early voting, and voting on Election Day.
The last day to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Feb. 27 by 5 p.m. Voters who vote by mail must include a photocopy of an acceptable ID or an ID Exception Form inside the photo ID sleeve that is on the back of their ballot envelope. The ballot can be returned via mail or in person but must be received by March 5 at 7:30 p.m. Absentee ballots returned in person can be taken to an early voting site during early voting, or to the Brunswick County Board of Elections office, located at 75 Stamp Act Drive NE in Bolivia, on Election Day. Learn more about absentee voting.
Early voting runs from Thursday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, March 2. Voters may cast their ballot at any early voting site in the county prior to Election Day. The Leland Cultural Arts Center, located at 1212 Magnolia Village Way, is one of five early voting locations in Brunswick County. View the early voting schedule and see all locations.
Voters who choose to vote on Election Day, March 5, must go to their assigned polling place. The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Learn more about voting in person and find your polling place.
You can confirm your registration, get a sample ballot, and find your polling place using the state’s online database.
