The project is to install a multi-use path (MUP) that connects to the existing MUP at Woodland Drive and extends to Wayne Street along Village Road in Leland. NCDOT is expected to construct a new bridge at Sturgeon Creek that will include two 12-foot lanes, 4-foot shoulders, and an 8-foot MUP on the south side of the roadway. This project will connect to the existing MUP and provide multimodal transportation access from the Gateway District to Cypress Cove Park.
