A project to repair the street in 12 locations along Mallory Creek Drive. Work shall consist of full depth asphalt replacement of all failed locations along the approximate first mile of Mallory Creek Drive from River Road SE (Highway 133), stormwater system modifications, asphalt removal, subbase removal, testing, compaction, base replacement, asphalt replacement, striping, curb and gutter replacement, adjusting water and sewer utility appurtenances to match final grade, erosion control measures and stabilization of all denuded areas, and a submitted and approved traffic control plan including installation.

Project Updates
Paving is scheduled for the section of Mallory Creek Drive between Grove Point and NC 133 for Nov. 21.
The installation of the major storm drain near the Mallory Creek Amenity Center has been completed. Paving preparation work is continuing on the section between Grove Point and NC 133.
New pavement has been placed between Tylers Cove Way and Grace Point Court. This week's work is focused on placing new pavement between Grace Point Court and NC 133, as well as completing storm drain installation in this section.
The contractor is working on storm drain replacement this week. Paving is also planned for the area between Tylers Cove Way and Pine Cone Drive.
The contractor has completed the majority of the pavement removal work. Crews will be working this week on pavement patching between Tylers Cove Way and Pine Cone Drive. Storm drain repair work to begin this week.
The traffic detour has been installed and work has commenced.
Following the pre-construction meeting with the contractor, a Notice to Proceed has been issued for Oct. 14 with the start of onsite set-up and traffic control.
Mallory Creek Drive will be closed to through traffic beginning Oct. 14 for asphalt repairs and drainage improvements along the roadway. The road will remain closed through the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete on Nov. 21.
Traffic management set-up will begin during the week of Oct. 7.
Staff will be holding a pre-construction meeting with the contractor, S.T. Wooten.
