Town staff will be working with the contractor and engineer to conduct a final inspection of the project and submit all certifications to the state.
The contractor has run into delays with replacing the sewer lines that cross under Kay Todd Road before the House of Pickleball. Kay Todd Road will remain closed to all traffic through 6 p.m. on Oct. 22. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the Water Tower, and onto Kay Todd Road.
Due to unforeseen construction circumstances, the road closure to all traffic on Kay Todd Road is being extended through 5 p.m. on Oct. 19. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the water tower, and onto Kay Todd Road.
The Town of Leland will be repairing the sewer line that crosses under Kay Todd Road before the House of Pickleball and will be closing Kay Todd Road to all traffic starting at 7 a.m. on Oct. 12 and the road will remain closed until 5 p.m. on Oct. 15. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the water tower, and onto Kay Todd Road.
The contractor has completed installation of water and sewer along Kay Todd Road and Brunswick Village Boulevard Extension and is finishing up the final sewer connections and repairs. Town staff will be working with the contractor and engineer to conduct a final inspection of the project and submit all certifications to the state.
The contractor is currently installing service lines for water and sewer across Brunswick Village Boulevard Extension and will begin laying sanitary sewer lines to connect to Hewitt Burton Road. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of September 2021.
The contractor will be paving Kay Todd Road the week of July 12 where the open cuts were made to install the utilities across Kay Todd Road. Asphalt patching will include areas near fire hydrants and the driveway to the House of Pickleball. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents and patrons to the House of Pickleball will still be able to access their homes/property during paving operations.
Due to the rain and severe weather forecasted for next week, the contractor has elected to move the road closure to the week of June 14-18. The Town of Leland will be installing underground utilities and will be closing Kay Todd Road to all traffic starting at 7 a.m. on June 14 and the road will remain closed until 5 p.m. on June 18. All traffic will be detoured into Brunswick Forest, onto Brunswick Forest Parkway, to the water tower, and onto Kay Todd Road
Installation of sanitary sewer and water mains is currently underway. The contractor is currently laying sewer force main down Kay Todd Road.
The contractor will begin laying sanitary sewer and water main lines along Kay Todd Road. A second road closure of Kay Todd Road is anticipated for end of April/May as the contractor open cuts the road to run service lines to the House of Pickleball facilities and to future lots.
