The Town of Leland is excited to debut a new event filled with music, local artisans, friendly competition, and philanthropy. Bluegrass, Bowls & Baskets is happening Oct. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, located at 1212 Magnolia Village Way.
This event will feature local potters and basket weavers selling their work including pottery bowls, mugs, weaved bread baskets, square napkin holders, and more. Local band Masonboro Sound will be playing your favorite bluegrass throughout the event.
Leland Police and Leland Fire/Rescue will put their cooking skills to the test as they compete in a chili cookoff during the event. All you need to do is bring any canned good(s) to donate to the team whose homemade chili you like best. All canned goods will be donated to Manna Ministries, a local non-profit food pantry in Leland.
