Project Updates
The contractor will be paving the curb line along Old Fayetteville Road and the multi-use path starting this week. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents will still be able to access their homes/property during paving operations.
The contractor is installing concrete for the curb and gutter along Old Fayetteville Road and anticipates paving the multi-use path in July.
The contractor is continuing to lay storm drainpipe and installing concrete for the curb and gutter along Old Fayetteville Road.
The Town of Leland will have an extended lane closure on Old Fayetteville Road on April 19 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the contractor to pave the shoulder of the road. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents will still be able to access their homes/property during paving operations.
The Town of Leland will have an extended lane closure on Old Fayetteville Road on March 17 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the contractor to connect to H2GO’s waterline. Work will require one lane to be closed with flagging for the duration. Residents will still be able to access their homes/property during the utility work.

The contractor will be widening Old Fayetteville Road and plans to lay asphalt starting on Monday. Work will consist of grading, paving, and installing curb and gutter along Old Fayetteville Road.
Construction on Old Fayetteville Road is scheduled to begin the week of Oct. 26. The contractor will be bringing in equipment and starting survey work. Construction is expected to take nine months.
Town Council approved the bid and selection of C.M. Mitchell Construction Company as the construction contractor on the project.
