  • Two new Firefighter positions
  • Nine Police vehicles for replacement and new positions
  • One Fire apparatus vehicle
  • Phase two of the traffic signal backup power project in coordination with the NCDOT

“The budget Town Council has approved for fiscal year 2024-2025 aims to address the diverse needs of our community, expand the Town’s service delivery to prevent potential degradation of the community, and improve quality of life for current and future residents,” Mayor Brenda Bozeman said. “Our primary focus is improved public safety to proactively prevent crime and improved infrastructure to enhance mobility and community connectivity. This budget was crafted with the intention of balancing fiscal responsibility with the essential services and investments our Town requires. We are committed to continuing an open dialogue with all community members to ensure their voices are heard and to work together towards a prosperous future for all.”
