Painting - Exploring the Landscape

Special attention will be paid to facets of landscape painting: Horizon placement, light direction, atmospheric details, and depth in space. Participants will paint in oil or acrylic from their photos or sketches, re-interpreting them with a view toward creating a work of art that goes beyond reproduction, looks for the abstract design, and leans toward a contemporary “loose” painting style.
