Leland Fire/Rescue is proud to announce it has recently earned several certifications from the North Carolina Association of Rescue and EMS, showcasing the department’s commitment to serve, be ready, and create excellent outcomes. This comes after the department successfully completed a comprehensive inspection conducted by the association.
Leland Fire/Rescue has successfully recertified in several critical areas, including heavy rescue, high angle rescue, confined space rescue, agricultural rescue, and surface water rescue. In addition, the department has earned a new certification in swift water rescue, expanding its capabilities to handle more diverse emergency situations.
“These certifications represent our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in emergency response and public safety,” said Leland Fire/Rescue Chief Ronnie Hayes. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s hard work, dedication, and professionalism in achieving these certifications, which, along with our esteemed ISO Class 2 rating, highlight our focus on excellence.”
