The Hurricane Expo is designed to help residents prepare for hurricane season by offering a convenient, one-stop resource for emergency preparedness.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Access important storm preparedness information
  • Ask questions and receive guidance from local experts
  • Connect with key stakeholders and partner agencies
  • Pick up a copy of the Town of Leland’s official Hurricane Guide, available in English and Spanish
  • Enter for a chance to win a rain barrel

This event brings together essential resources in one place, making it easier for residents to stay informed, prepared, and connected ahead of hurricane season.

Participating Town departments include Fire, Police, Public Works, and Planning and Inspections departments, as well as Brunswick County Emergency Management, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, the National Weather Service, Legal Aid of North Carolina, the Red Cross, and the N.C. Cooperative Extension Agency, National Weather Service, the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Brunswick Family Assistance, WWAY, WARM, Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation, Trillium Health Resources.
